Therapy for teen girls who are tired of holding it all together in Milwaukee, WI
Sometimes being a teenager is a lot.
Like... a lot a lot.
School. Friends. Family. Social media. Expectations. Trying to fit in without losing yourself. Trying to figure out who you even are while everyone seems to have an opinion about who you should be.
And sometimes you’re doing your best to look completely fine while internally thinking:
“I am actually over all of this.”
You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
Overthinking everything you said after a conversation.
Feeling left out, misunderstood, or like you don’t really fit anywhere.
Putting pressure on yourself to get good grades, make everyone proud, and somehow never mess up.
Comparing yourself to people online—even when you know social media isn’t the whole story.
Feeling anxious about school, friendships, relationships, sports, college, or what comes next.
Getting irritated way faster than usual.
Feeling down, disconnected, or just not quite like yourself.
Struggling to say no because you don’t want people to be mad at you.
Keeping things to yourself because explaining how you feel sounds exhausting.
Or maybe you don’t even know exactly what’s wrong.
You just know something feels off.
That counts too.
Therapy Doesn't Have to Feel Weird
We know the idea of sitting across from a stranger and talking about your feelings might not exactly sound like your idea of a good time.
We get it.
Therapy at The Practice MKE is not about someone sitting there judging you, lecturing you, or asking, “And how does that make you feel?” every five minutes.
It’s a space where you can actually be yourself.
You can talk.
You can laugh.
You can be annoyed.
You can say, “I don’t know.”
You can take your time.
Our therapists are here to help you understand what’s happening underneath the stress, anxiety, frustration, sadness, or pressure—and figure out what actually helps.
Imagine Feeling More Like...
“I can handle this.”
Instead of panicking every time something goes wrong.
“I don’t have to make everybody happy.”
Instead of constantly worrying about disappointing people.
“I actually like who I am.”
Instead of comparing yourself to everyone around you.
“I can say what I need.”
Instead of holding everything in until you explode.
“This feels hard, but I know what to do.”
Instead of feeling completely overwhelmed.
That’s the goal.
Not becoming a completely different person.
Becoming more confident, more grounded, and more connected to yourself.
